Self Pay Services
Appointments through Mom's Milk B/CS are self pay with payment due after your appointment. We allow you to choose a payment amount that you can afford and think is fair for the services you receive. We provide suggested payment amounts based on your household income and those range from $50 to $150. You can preview our payment page here. When you are booking through Mom's Milk B/CS, you will fill out our intake form, your chart will be maintained within our group and you will pay us directly. Following your appointment, we will email a care plan summarizing the visit and key things you learned and then stay in touch to continue offering support. If your consultant is unavailable at any point during your follow-up support, another member of the group is able to step in and help.
Utilizing Insurance Benefits
Natalie accepts insurance through a partnership with Lactation Consultants of America (LCA). She is currently able to work with some plans through Aetna, Anthem/BCBS, Centivo, Cigna, TriWest (office visits only), and United Healthcare. Your plan must include lactation benefits. It is helpful to call and check with your insurance company for clarity on what's covered. Here's the script that is most helpful: "What is my cost-sharing or co-pay for in-network coverage for lactation services under CPT code S9443 (lactation class) with diagnosis Z39.1, billed as professional services (not facility)?" Natalie will also need to confirm that your plan is in-network with LCA, which usually happens in less than 24 business hours. You will then fill out two intake forms through LCA, one for you and one for your baby, before your appointment. Your chart will be maintained in LCA's system and billing will be through LCA and follow their policies. Following your appointment, Natalie will send a care plan summarizing the visit through your LCA patient portal and then stay in touch to continue offering support. All follow-up will need to be handled solely by Natalie.
